And I love the rain

Bheegi bheegi bheegi jadoo bhari lamhon ki yeh ratein…
Dekho karne lagi hoon main boondon se baatein…
boondon se baatein… main boondon se baatein...

Since a few days it’s been raining cats and dogs in Hyderabad. It’s been raining like never before I Hyderabad. I have been staying for the past8 yrs but never have I seen such a rain in March, like this. It was good too. It started on Friday and went on till Monday morning. Good we had an off that day for holi. Though I don’t play holi but bubz does (bigtime). All around was lush green. But then we could not go out much and were under nature’s house arrest. I ordered some eateries to savour at home. I just went out once and by the time I came back I was drenched badly; but still I enjoyed very much. At night instead of sleeping peacefully I was kept awake by the “drizzle of the rain” sound.

Bade bade shaharon aisi choti choti baatein hoti rahati hai...

anjali (my friend) send me..

It feels wonderful when friends do this. I miss you soooooooooo much dear.

Joy and Sorrow

Joy and Sorrow

Then a woman said, 'Speak to us of Joy and Sorrow.'
And he answered: Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
Is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Some of you say, 'Joy is greater than sorrow,' and others say, 'Nay, sorrow is the greater.'
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.
Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.

Kahlil Gibran

Infant Joy

Infant Joy
"I have no name;
I am but two days old.
"What shall I call thee?
"I happy am,
Joy is my name."
Sweet joy befall thee!
Pretty joy!Sweet joy,
but two days old.
Sweet Joy I call thee:
Thou dost smile,
I sing the while;
Sweet joy befall thee!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

This is the right place to share my thoughts abt ma life and the supposed khichhdi inside. Believe me there is more than what meets the eye. But I am as happy as the word can suggest. I am thoroughly content and gearing up for whatever good or not-so-good life will throw up for me to deal. At this moment I am desperately waiting for my elder co-sister to give birth. She is due on March 28th. I don’t know if the baby is a girl or a boy. But I am excited beyond comprehension. Hope everything will go well and soon I will be with our bundle of happiness.
