A week back we were invited to one of my husband's friends. While getting ready, I saw that my face didnt look like mine , it just had similarities to it. Hormones had played havoc on my skin. After my pregnancy a lot of problems surfaced like skin problems, back problems, weight issues etc.
SKIN PROBLEMS
1. Blemishes
My face now appears to be blotchy and one can notice fine lines around the eyes. Since I do not use a lot of cosmetics hence its difficult for me to hide them. Sandalwood paste with water helps lighten burn and cut marks. But even that didn't work.
2. Dryness
My skin appears to be dull and lifeless. the outer texture has become dry and rough to touch to. Even a weekly scrub with apricot and papaya didnt work out.
3. Pregnancy Mask or Hyperpigmentation
Though more than 60% of pregnant women develop a "mask of pregnancy" around their face (cheeks and forehead specially). But i never had that problem. Instead my neck became a little dark than usual.
4. Pregnancy glow
Also the "pregnancy glow"dissappeared almost immediately after giving birth to Toto ()my son's pet name)
REMEDIES
a) Drink lots of water
b) Drink fruit juices (instead of aerated drinks)
c) avoid late nights
d) apply aloe vera based cream to your face
e) Exercise, exercise and exercise
